Chad Lowe’s 13-year-old daughter, Fiona, died by suicide

The cause of death for Chad Lowe’s daughter Fiona has been confirmed.

The teenager, who was 13, died by suicide at the hospital on Tuesday, per a report from the medical examiner obtained by Page Six.

The Lowe family announced the tragedy in a statement on Sept. 29, saying, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”

“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the family continued. “In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”

The Lowes concluded the statement by sharing the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Fiona was the second-oldest child of “Pretty Little Liars” actor Chad and his wife, Kim Painter. The parents also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.

Fiona’s death was addressed in an email sent to parents at the school she attended, with the principal offering counseling resources to any students or staff members who may need emotional support.

The message did not name the student who passed away.

Fiona was a “very well-liked student,” a source told Page Six after her death, adding she had “a lot of friends.”

The dance enthusiast was remembered in a touching tribute posted by her grandfather, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, on social media on Wednesday, where he said, “Rest in peace, sweet Fiona,” alongside a picture of her in a swimming pool.

Chad, who has also directed a slew of TV shows, often spoke about being proud of his “girl dad” status, and frequently praised Fiona for her accomplishments on social media.

For her birthday last November, Chad wrote, “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!”
