A shocking video captured the moment when a Long Island patrolman used his police vehicle to control an agitated woman brandishing a revolver in the middle of a busy street.
Images of the incident, published on Reddit, show the woman holding a gun and pointing it threateningly at other cars as she crosses the road
At some point, she even turns the gun towards her and presses it on her temple.
Suddenly, a patrol car appears in the image and violently hits the woman throwing her to the ground.

A third officer arrives in the image and handcuffs it.
Following the impact, the 33-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The police officer who hit the woman was also hospitalized for trauma.
The lady remains in police custody, Nassau police told the New York Post.
The officer was following the protocol when he knocked over the woman with his vehicle, Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder told reporters at a press conference.
Charges have not yet been filed, as the incident is still under investigation, police said.
